18 Nov 2007 - Christmas Fayre

Ridgeway held their Christmas Fayre on an extremely cold, wet and rainy day that eventually turned quite seasonal with the first snow of the winter.  We had a large number of stalls including books, toys, cards, Christmas decorations, jewellery, cakes, refreshments and the usual stalwarts - raffles and tombolas.  The doors opened at 2.00 and by 2.30 the hall was full to the brim with people spending generously.  We finished at 4.00 after announcing all the winners of the prizes.  So far we have counted that we raised about £800.00.  We all had a great time and would like to give thanks to all the people who helped with the organisation of the Fayre, and gave help on the day.
